A lip flip uses botulinum toxin type A to gently relax the muscles of the upper lip, allowing it to roll slightly outward and upward. This creates the appearance of a fuller, more defined upper lip without adding volume or requiring dermal fillers. This treatment is ideal for clients who wish to enhance their smile, reduce the appearance of a “thin” upper lip, or achieve subtle improvement in symmetry. It can also help correct a mild gummy smile, softening the exposure of upper teeth when smiling, while keeping a natural and expressive look. Consultation & Prescription As this is a prescription-only treatment, a full consultation is required. I will assess your facial anatomy, lip shape, and smile dynamics, discuss your goals, and review your medical history. Treatment is only performed if clinically appropriate, ensuring safe and tailored results. Treatment Experience The procedure takes 5–10 minutes. Ultra-fine needles are used to deliver very small, targeted doses into the orbicularis oris muscle of the upper lip. Discomfort is minimal and brief, and no downtime is required — most clients return to their day immediately. Results Initial effects are typically noticed within 3–5 days, with full results appearing by 10–14 days. Results generally last 2–3 months, depending on individual muscle activity. The goal is a subtle enhancement: a soft, lifted upper lip with a natural, relaxed smile — not an exaggerated pout.
