Service Description

Botulinum toxin can be used therapeutically to prevent and reduce the frequency and severity of chronic migraines and tension-type headaches. By targeting specific muscles in the head, neck, and shoulder region, overactive muscles and nerve triggers are relaxed, helping to reduce the intensity and duration of headache episodes. This treatment is suitable for clients who experience frequent, chronic, or debilitating migraines, often accompanied by neck tension, jaw clenching, or scalp tightness. It provides a non-surgical, medication-sparing option to improve quality of life while maintaining natural facial movement and function. At Aisha Khayat Aesthetics, I use Azzalure®, a prescription-only botulinum toxin chosen for its established safety, precision, and reliable outcomes in therapeutic applications. Consultation & Prescription A full medical consultation is required prior to treatment. I will review your medical history, migraine pattern, triggers, and prior treatments, as well as perform a physical assessment of relevant muscles. Treatment is only carried out if clinically appropriate, ensuring safe, effective, and personalised results. Treatment Experience The procedure typically takes 20–30 minutes. Ultra-fine needles deliver precise doses into targeted muscles in the head, neck, and shoulders. Mild discomfort may be felt at injection sites, but downtime is minimal. Most clients resume normal activities immediately, with gradual reduction in headache intensity and frequency over the following days. Results Initial effects may be noticed within 1–2 weeks, with full benefits developing over 4–6 weeks. Results generally last 3–4 months, depending on muscle activity and individual response. Clients often report fewer migraine attacks, reduced pain intensity, decreased neck tension, and improved quality of life. Pre- & Post-Treatment Guidance Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to treatment Avoid anti-inflammatory medications or supplements such as fish oil or vitamin E for several days beforehand Post-treatment, avoid rubbing or massaging injected areas for 24–48 hours Mild soreness or bruising at injection sites is normal and temporary You will receive full aftercare instructions and have direct access to me post-procedure for any concerns. A review appointment at two weeks is available to assess effectiveness or make minor adjustments.
